The main goal of GAMMA project is to demonstrate the safe integration of fuels (biomethanol and NH3) and fuel systems (biomethanol reformer, NH3 cracker and 1 MW low-temperature PEM fuel cell) that will convert the hydrogen produced into electricity. The project approach, based on EU Commission strategy and IMO regulations, aims to contribute to the reduction of the GHG emissions in 30 % in shipping industry. Also, the biomethanol and green ammonia are expected as promising fuels for maritime sector due to their renewable nature, high energy density and potential cost savings. Amnis Pura, in this project, will develop new adsorbents materials and fabricate a dual system for hydrogen purification.
