Amnis Pura Announces Sale Contracts for Green Hydrogen Projects

4 Oct 2021

In the first semester of 2021, Amnis Pura announced three contracts to supply Pressure Swing Adsortion units of 520 m3/h for decentralized hydrogen production projects. In these projects, different sources and tecnologies are used to produce hydrogen, namely amnonia cracking, waste gasification and methane reforming with carbon dioxide capture and underground storage. It is expected that the produced hydrogen will be in accordance with the strict ISO 14687-2 which specifies the quality characteristics of hydrogen fuel for utilization in proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell road vehicle systems. Amnis Pura expects to deliver and start the comissioning of those units in the Q4 of 2021.

Frederico Relvas, CTO, commented, “These projects are the starting point for our company and are an oportunity to prove our ability to develop innovative solutions supported by long years of research. It is our belief that hydrogen will be a fundamental energy vector to replace fossil fuels in industrial processes and heavy transport, and decentralized production. This fact  assumes a preponderant importance, giving to the energy communities (whether private entities, citizens, public entities) the ability to produce energy from different renewable sources, for use in the micro-grid, provide them greater energy autonomy from large distribution systems.”
